Neha Raykar, PhD, MA
Neha Raykar is a Health Economist at Oxford Policy Management (OPM) India. Prior to this position, she was Lead Economist at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). She holds a PhD in economics from the University of California, Riverside and has worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Colgate University, New York. Her primary interests are in the areas of public health, education, poverty, and economics of household behavior in developing countries. While at PHFI, she was involved in evaluating cost-effectiveness of mental health interventions for the Disease Control Priorities Project and was a researcher on the Transform Nutrition Research Program Consortium. She led the editorial team of the India Health Report: Nutrition 2015 released in December 2015 and has been engaged in independent studies on maternal and child health outcomes under the consortium. Currently at OPM, she works on the independent monitoring and evaluation of a technical support program aimed at health systems strengthening for the state government of Bihar, India. She also manages a project on independent monitoring and evaluation of a crèche implementation program for under-three children in the state of Odisha, India.
