James Huang, MD, FAAFP
James Huang is a board-certified family physician and works at Unity Health Care, a federally qualified health center in Washington DC. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), he started the Comprehensive Medical Care for Deaf Adults and Children (CODA Clinic) at Unity. He is also part of the core faculty at the National Family Medicine Residency Program - Washington DC. He holds clinical academic appointments at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and graduated from the Family Medicine Residency Program in Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. He is also on the board of directors for Community Foodworks, an organization focused on increasing access to healthy local food and creating viable markets for local farmers and producers in the mid-Atlantic region.
