Medha Makhlouf (2020 cohort) created and leads a Health Equity Immersion program that brings law, medical, and public health students together for experiential learning in community settings. Through visits to organizations serving local communities, students explore how legal and policy decisions shape health outcomes and gain a deeper understanding of the systems that influence people’s health and well-being. The program was inspired in part by Medha’s experiences at AFHE convenings.
