Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity (AFHE) is thrilled to announce the 2024 Senior Fellow Advisory Board (SFAB).

Comprised of four graduated fellows serving one-year terms, SFAB works closely with the AFHE Senior Fellow Engagement Team to build a vibrant and connected community of Senior Fellows.

Members of the 2024 Senior Fellow Advisory Board include:

  • Monique Brown: Principal Consultant, Well Placed LLC
  • Kenneth T. Jones: Deputy Executive Director of the Veterans Health Administration Office of Health Equity
  • Monalisa Padhee: Program Head of Women Wellness Initiative at Emp Bindi International
  • Carla A. Ventura: Full Professor at the Department of Psychiatric Nursing and Human Sciences from the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing

The newly appointed members of the Advisory Board bring a wealth of diverse expertise and knowledge in health equity including in the subjects of community development, data analytics, women’s health and nursing.

“We are honored to welcome such an extraordinary group of health equity leaders to our Senior Fellow Advisory Board,” Selam Bedada, associate program director of the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity program, said. “Their unparalleled expertise and deep understanding of our fellowship will be instrumental as we continue to grow and innovate as a program.”

As members of SFAB, Senior Fellows will have an opportunity to share professional expertise, insights and experiences with the program team and leadership by engaging in robust discussions that will shape the future of the AFHE community.

SFAB members are involved in the selection committee of the next cohort of global leaders as well as the design and implementation of convening programming, aimed at connecting and strengthening the AFHE community.
