Tyler Spencer, MSc, PhD

Bio
Dr. Tyler Spencer recently retired from his 15-year role in founding and leading Grassroots Health, a community-based health promotion and youth development program in Washington DC that trains local college athletes to re-imagine health education for middle school students. He is now Director of Partnerships and Growth at Spring Impact.Tyler holds a Ph.D. in Public Health and an M.Sc. in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation, both from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He also holds a B.A. in International Health and Sustainable Development from the University of Virginia and has completed graduate coursework at Georgetown University.
For his research and practice at the nexus of social enterprise and public health, Tyler has received awards from the Skoll Centre for Social Enterprise, the CDC, and the World Economic Forum in Davos.
