Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity (AFHE) is committed to safeguarding and maintaining the privacy of your personal information.


Please note that AFHE is a program of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., USA. It is part of a global network of Atlantic Fellows programs that is coordinated by the Atlantic Institute, based at the Rhodes Trust in Oxford, UK.

This Privacy Notice describes our practices with regards to the collection and processing of your personal information through our website.

AFHE collects and processes your personal information when you navigate and use our websites through either automatic collection or information you have voluntarily provided. Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity uses Statcounter. Statcounter is an online service which helps us to understand our visitors; for example, how visitors find our website, how long they spend on our site, which web pages they are most interested in etc. We use Statcounter because better understanding how visitors are interacting with our website helps us to improve the content, design and functionality of our site. This allows us to offer a better online experience to our visitors.

The AFHE maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of the information you provide when visiting or using the AFHE website.


Although AFHE employs reasonable security measures to protect the personal information you provided to us, you are encouraged to take steps on your own to protect your information by, for example, logging out of online applications, closing all web browsers after use of a website, and keeping your account and passwords confidential.
