BioAna Cecilia Ortega Dominguez is a psychologist working with Compañeros en Salud (CES)—the sister organization of Partners in Health—in the Sierra region of Chiapas, Mexico. In this organization, she trains and supervises community mental health workers on the delivery of PM+ (a trans-diagnostic psychological intervention) and builds capacity among physicians to provide quality mental health care in rural clinics. Before this role, she designed and implemented a community intervention with a gender perspective to prevent and treat anxiety and depression among adolescents. Previously, she worked for a community development organization in Malawi, where community participation was at the core of each program. Ana holds an MA in International Development.
