Assistant Professor & Social Scientist
BioDr. Gilberto Lopez is a broadly trained social scientist with experience in mixed methods of research. He is particularly interested in identifying and addressing structural and cultural factors that pattern the unequal distribution of disease in racialized minority and rural populations.
Recently, he has done this by creating culturally tailored and empirically based health communications campaigns focused on bringing needed COVID-19 information to Latinx across the U.S. Southwest.
