Bio

Dr. Robert Rock serves as the clinical director for the Bureau of Bronx Neighborhood Health within the New York City Department of Health. He also leads the Social Mission Alliance's Health Justice Fellowship program and serves as senior advisor within the Program for Humanities in Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. Robert is a practicing family physician, health services researcher, and health professional educator dedicated to using medicine as a means to social justice.

His work exists at the intersection of interdisciplinary health professions education, clinical medicine, and public health, developing initiatives that realize structures conducive to flourishing for historically oppressed groups. He received his BA in Art History from New York University, his MD from the Yale School of Medicine, and his Masters in Health Sciences through the National Clinician Scholars program. Robert has advocated for and led the design of interprofessional curricula dedicated to social medicine, domestic health equity, and health advocacy.
