Bio
Dr. Shubha Nagesh, WGH Chapter Development Manager, is a medical doctor by training and a public health specialist based in the Himalayan state of India. She presently holds the position of Chapter Development Manager for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East at Women in Global Health. She brings visibility to the work of incredible women leaders in these regions and advocates for leadership in women in global health. For more than a decade, Shubha has developed and implemented community-based programs for children with developmental disabilities in far and remote parts of the Indian Himalayan region.A Senior Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity, a Gates Fellow at the LSHTM’s Global Health Leadership Program, and a Mentor with the Canadian Society of International Health, Shubha writes widely around the intersection of Gender, Disability, and Global Health. She has also served as the South Asia Correspondent with International Health Policies. Previously, she has been a clinician at the NHS, United Kingdom and a National Consultant with the AIDS Control Program in India.
