Bio
Dr. Ifeanyi M. Nsofor is a public health physician, behavioral science researcher and global health equity advocate. With over 120 published articles in outlets like Project Syndicate, Al Jazeera, NPR. He has been interviewed by the New York Times, the Lancet, BBC, Al Jazeera, Forbes etc.
He has led 30+ research projects across West Africa. Recognized as one of the top 100 most influential Africans in 2020, he played a key role in evaluating the African Union's response to the Ebola outbreak. He is a two-time TEDx speaker, two-time MOTH storyteller, Senior New Voices Fellow at the Aspen Institute and member of the Global Fellows Advisory Board at the Atlantic Institute.
Ifeanyi believes that to achieve health equity, there must be equity in health education. He is dedicated to advancing equity in leadership of global health organizations. Ifeanyi is currently the Principal Investigator of a survey to assess the acceptability of the HPV vaccine and to identify key behavioural factors influencing HPV vaccination decisions among male and female caregivers of girls aged 9–17 years across six states in Nigeria.
