Mary Ajwang, MSPH
Mary Ajwang is a public health professional from Northern Uganda. Ms. Ajwang has extensive experience in health care service provision in rural, high volume and resource limited hospital settings. She pursued a clinical internship program in Sweden and later joined Global Health Corps (GHC), an international social justice and health equity movement. She is passionate about changing the plight of health workers in Uganda, advocating for their protection and educating them on their legal rights. Her dream is to see a world where women have children by choice, survive childbirth and health workers are rewarded and valued for their efforts in saving lives. Ms. Ajwang holds a master’s degree in public health from Glasgow Caledonian University, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Makerere University, Uganda.
Focus: Engaging in advocacy, technical assistance, and program coordination to improve public health in Uganda.
