Eliza Squibb (2019 cohort) collaborated with local artists, artisans, and the ministry of health in Niger to create a two-yard cloth that doubles as a baby wrap and a visual vaccination calendar. Printed with symbols representing the childhood vaccination schedule, the cloth helps mothers with low literacy track the time between appointments and know when to return to the clinic. This created a practical, culturally relevant tool that gave mothers greater agency in their children’s health.
