Brenda Hughes (2021 cohort) served as Chief Equity Officer for the South Carolina Food Policy Council and co-leads its Equity Within the Food System Committee. The committee is working to center racial equity across the Council’s work and inform a state-level food equity policy platform, helping shape a more equitable and healthy food system in South Carolina.
