Ginger Ramirez (2017 cohort), Ana Cecilia Ortega (2021 cohort) and Zulema García Ulloa (2023 cohort) collaborated across Mexico and the Philippines to create a trauma-informed workbook for children ages 7–9 in low-resource primary care and community settings. Developed with input from children in rural villages, pediatric palliative care programs, and deaf communities, the workbook uses animal characters, drawing, and other activities to help children recognize emotions, build coping skills, and talk about difficult experiences. Now available in English and Spanish in print and digital formats, the workbook offers health workers and community practitioners a practical, adaptable tool for supporting children’s emotional well-being.
