Kai Kennedy (2018 cohort) was selected by UCSF students to deliver the Last Lecture, using the opportunity to share a lesson shaped by her experiences in Ghana, Haiti, and the Bay Area. Her message was simple: your teachers are all around you. Kai encouraged students to learn directly from people living the experiences they hope to change, and demonstrated that approach by bringing community members’ stories and perspectives into the lecture itself.
