Mary Ajwang and Brigit Carter (2017 cohort) organized a pioneering legal empowerment training for 124 health workers at Kawempe National Referral Hospital in April 2025, marking a critical step in equipping Uganda’s health workers with the knowledge and support they need to protect themselves and advocate for safer, fairer maternal health care.
