Dr. Azara Agidani is a health systems and financing professional committed to advancing equitable access to health in Nigeria. She serves as Senior Technical Advisor to the Director General and CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority, where she leads strategic initiatives under the equity pillar and supports reforms to expand financial risk protection for vulnerable populations.

She plays a central role in shaping policy reforms, facilitating stakeholder engagement and strengthening accountability mechanisms to ensure resources reach underserved groups. She has convened government, private sector and development partners to align strategies for Universal Health Coverage and supports the design of innovative programs such as maternal and neonatal financing interventions.

Azara is passionate about translating evidence into policy and practice, building consensus across diverse stakeholders and promoting inclusive financing approaches.
