Bio
Akshita Siddula is a public health professional, nonprofit leader, and systems-builder focused on advancing health equity, community power, and social justice. With more than a decade of experience leading complex initiatives across public, nonprofit, and global health sectors, Akshita brings a deep commitment to data-informed strategy, collaborative leadership, and community-centered impact. She has worked with federal agencies including the CDC and USAID, led nonprofit organizations through organizational transformation and capacity building, and taught community organizing and leadership development at the university level.Across her work, Akshita has partnered with grassroots leaders, government actors, and multilateral institutions to design scalable solutions at the intersection of health, policy, and equity. Her approach emphasizes strengthening systems and partnerships that enable people and communities most affected by inequity to lead change.
Akshita holds a BA in World Comparative Literature and a BS in Community Health from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MSPH in International Health Systems from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and certificates in International Humanitarian Assistance and Program Evaluation from Johns Hopkins.
