Abraham L. B. Freeman is a CNN and Deutsche Welle featured Social entrepreneur driving bold solutions at the intersection of environmental justice and public health. He is the founder of Environmental Rescue Initiative, a community-based organization that recycles plastic waste into opportunities through innovation and education in underserved communities in Liberia – an effort that earned him the Audience Choice Award for Innovation and Technology at the 2024 UNC Water and Health Conference in the USA. Abraham is currently employed by the Liberia Electricity Corporation and assigned to the Mt. Coffee Hydropower Plant.
