Bio

Nyabony Gat is a Program Director for the Peer Leader Navigators Program at Alaska Literacy Program (ALP) focusing on health outreach, connection and navigating healthcare and social services. She supports individuals in building language skills at ALP, and collaboratively works on building integrated career pathways for limited English proficient populations and she co-leads an ESL focused pre-apprenticeship training in health care program.

She is passionate and driven to work on immigrant and refugee integration contributing to a 2022 report called “Untapped Talent: Immigrant Integration and Inclusion in Anchorage, Alaska.” She leads a coalition to address health literacy gaps and community health workforce development.

Nyabony is an asset to the community and in 2020 received recognition in Alaska’s top 40 under 40 through the chamber of commerce. She continues to build unity by serving on boards such as Keys to Life Alaska. Nyabony has a Bachelor of Science in Health Science.
