Nyabony Gat is a health education coordinator with Southcentral Alaska Area Health Education Center & Alaska Primary Care Association, focusing on workforce development with underserved communities in Alaska. Her focus is building integrated career pathways for English language learners mainly within refugee and immigrant populations. In addition, she is a program coordinator for the Peer Leader Navigator Program at Alaska Literacy Program which focuses on health outreach, connection and navigating healthcare and social services. She has overcome many challenges to achieve her educational goals and has become an asset to the community. In 2020, Nyabony received recognition in Alaska’s top 40 under 40 through the chamber of commerce. As an extension of her professional work, she continues to build unity by serving on the board of Keys to Life Alaska. Nyabony has a B.S. in Health Sciences from the University of Alaska Anchorage and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.
