Bio

Dr. Qusai Hammouri is a deformity spine surgeon, medical educator, and AI-driven healthcare innovator dedicated to advancing health equity, surgical education, and patient-centered care. With extensive training in pediatric and adult spinal deformities, he specializes in making complex spinal surgeries more accessible and effective, particularly for underserved and immigrant communities.

Beyond surgery, Qusai is a pioneer in AI-driven patient education as the Founder and Medical Lead of MDus.ai, an AI-powered platform that creates multilingual, culturally relevant educational videos to improve health literacy and access to medical knowledge. His work integrates technology, storytelling, and medicine to bridge gaps in healthcare accessibility.

A strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in medicine, Qusai co-founded Pride Ortho, a network dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ orthopedic professionals and allies. Through mentorship, advocacy, and policy work, he is helping to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment in surgical fields.

Qusai’s leadership extends to global surgical education, where he contributes to ETALO, an initiative focused on low-cost surgical simulators that enhance training opportunities for surgeons in resource-limited settings.
