Rana Al-Qawasmi, MPH

Bio
Rana al Qawasmi is a Palestinian nutritionist, public health specialist, and Hubert Humphrey alumna for Public Health Policies and Management. She works as a health systems strengthening consultant for the Stability, Services and Reform Program by DFID. In her role Rana works on strengthening and developing healthcare status and services for Palestinians through policies, despite political and social barriers. In addition, Rana actively highlights health inequalities and works with vulnerable communities, especially women and children in refugee camps, raising awareness towards nutrition, healthy lifestyle promotion, and primary prevention. Rana is a researcher at the Global Diabetes Research Center at Emory University. She holds an MPH degree from South Wales University, and a B.Sc. in Human Nutrition From the Hebrew University.Professional Interests & Expertise
