Sophie Genigeorgis is an epidemiologist and public health leader whose work bridges global health research, infectious disease epidemiology, and nonprofit program management. She currently serves as Program Manager at WORLD, where she oversees community health programs addressing social determinants of health for women/girls living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS, with a focus on building systems, strengthening partnerships, and advancing equitable access to care.

Sophie earned her MPH in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases from Yale School of Public Health, with certificates in Global Health and Modeling. At Yale, she conducted research on vector-borne/parasitic disease transmission in Africa, maternal and women’s health in low- and middle-income countries, and respiratory infection transmission modeling. She brings strong skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, using R and modeling tools to inform evidence-based solutions.
