Bio
Zahraa Sarraf is a pharmacist with over ten years of experience in global health and international development.She has held various roles with United Nations agencies and international institutions across Iraq and Egypt, leading programs that have empowered hundreds of youth in public health, civic engagement, and business education.
Currently, Zahraa serves as a Board Member at Sama Organization for Mental Health and is a serial social entrepreneur. She founded Tuqma & Roots, a women community bringing together 350+ women through meaningful engagement with Iraqi heritage and art. She also initiated projects such as Do It—a practical youth training program to overcome social anxiety, and Green Health—a two-week program promoting green education and debate. In addition, she co-founded Smart Waste Management, an award-winning startup operating in Mosul.
Her passion lies in social innovation, entrepreneurship, and community empowerment, reflected in her work as a mentor and coach for startups and NGOs across the MENA and African regions within diverse entrepreneurship programs.
