Bio

Zahraa Zaid is a Harvard Medical School - Global Health Delivery program alumni and Senior Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and is a MBA student at Cardiff School of Business.

Currently she serves as civic engagement supervisor at War Child/ UNICEF project, and as youth advisor with the International Trade Center. In her work, Zahraa is empowering youth and teaching them how to start their own businesses and to lead social enterprises.

She’s interested in using innovation and design thinking as a tool to address societal issues hence she has founded Do It — a capacity building program to acquire social skills necessary to cope with social anxiety.

She also co-founded Smart Waste Management to recycle trash in the city of Mosul, Tuqma her own business for sustainable fashion, and Green Health, a 2-week training on sustainability and debate highlighting her commitment to social responsibility and environmental conservation.
