Bertrand Moses (2020 cohort) helped build a regional approach to youth mental health in the Caribbean, first developing mental health resources and referral systems in Trinidad and Tobago and later establishing a youth mental health network spanning 17 Caribbean countries. Together with young people, governments, academics, NGOs, and businesses, he helped develop YoungCaribbeanMinds.com, the Caribbean’s first youth mental health resource platform, offering service directories, a digital workbook, text support, games, and other tools. The platform has reached more than 100,000 young people and continues to expand across the region.
