Elena Rivera (2020 cohort) and Rose Mary Nakame (2020 cohort) were part of a global team that trained health workers and grassroots advocates to use storytelling as a tool for advocacy. The project trained 37 rural health workers in Uganda, 10 U.S. grassroots advocates, and eight Atlantic Fellows, equipping participants with storytelling techniques and tools to elevate community experiences and advocate on issues including healthcare, housing, immigrant rights, disability, childcare, and resource navigation.
