Peter Gan Kim Soon (2020 cohort) served on the Ministry of Health core team that supported the development of The Future of Health Workforce in Malaysia: A Strategic Roadmap. He helped shape its direction and reviewed its findings at several stages. Malaysia’s health workforce is under real strain, with wide rural-urban disparities and a steady drift of talent overseas. This work advances a more equitable system in which geography, income and institutional constraints do not determine access to skilled health professionals.
