Pratiksha Dhungana (2021 cohort) advocates for strengthening Nepal’s community health workforce to address gaps in healthcare access, particularly in rural communities. Her work highlights how community health workers can connect people to essential care, support maternal and child health, and bridge communities with larger health facilities. With one female community health volunteer able to serve up to 200 people each year, Pratiksha makes the case for investing in and sustaining this critical workforce.
