Daniel Mistak (2023 cohort) works with federal and state stakeholders to improve health care for people involved with the justice system. Through the Inmate Exclusion Project, he examines how restrictions on Medicaid coverage can limit collaboration between health and justice systems, and explores how Medicaid can strengthen safety-net systems, improve access and quality of care, and reduce costs.
