Dr. Ernest Bonah is a food safety scientist, regulator, and educator committed to advancing health equity through safer food systems and evidence-based policy. He serves as a Principal Regulatory Officer at the Food and Drugs Authority, Ghana, and as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University for Development Studies. His research focuses on foodborne disease prevention, food safety regulation, risk assessment, artificial intelligence, genomics, and rapid detection technologies. He collaborates with national and international partners to strengthen regulatory systems, improve food safety surveillance, and build laboratory capacity. Passionate about translating research into policy and practice, Ernest works to reduce health inequities by improving access to safe food. He is dedicated to mentoring future scientists and fostering partnerships that strengthen public health across Africa.
