Melikte Paulos Weldetensaye is the founder and executive director of ZuZu for health and education, a non-profit organization based in Ethiopia, which aims to provide free mental health resources and promote inclusive education. In this role, she designs various projects and teaching manuals that promote mental health for women and youth, as well as audio educational materials for blind and visually impaired students. She produces and hosts a medical TV show that pushes media integration in healthcare and health equity. She also serves as an executive committee secretary for the Ethiopian Medical Women Association (EMeWA), where she chairs the professional development standing committee. Melikte holds an M.D. from Hayat Medical College in Ethiopia. She is also an alumnus of the YALI East Africa, through which she earned a certificate from the Young African Leadership Institute East Africa Regional Leadership Center by USAID in partnership with MasterCard Foundation.Professional Interests & Expertise
