Bio

Odur Anthony’s early years were filled with hardship. He lost his mother due to birth complications, and grew up in a family struggling to make ends meet.

The dire circumstances pushed Odur to leave Kampala, finding refuge in the war-affected district of Lira. This experience ignited his passion for social justice, as he witnessed the struggles of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and victims of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), inspiring him to become a lawyer advocating for the marginalized.

Odur co-founded the Health Equity and Policy Initiative (HEAPI), a not-for-profit entity championing the right to health for the most vulnerable individuals in Uganda. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he developed the Fair Health Project to promote human rights in healthcare, challenging profit-driven practices through strategic litigation.
