Bio
Dr. Qusai Hammouri is a Pediatric Spine Surgeon at NYU Langone Health. Previously, they were the Director of Pediatric Orthopaedics in the Northwell Health System on Staten Island. They developed the pediatric spinal surgery program and performed the first pediatric spinal deformity surgeries on the Island. They are a founding member of the ETALO initiative with the mission to develop low-cost surgical simulators to teach basic orthopaedic procedures which will be first deployed in Uganda. A native of Jordan, Qusai immigrated to the USA in 2004 to pursue their education and training at Yale, NYU and Columbia. They sit on the diversity task forces of SRS and POSNA and they are a diversity and health equity mentor.Professional Interests & Expertise
