Bio
Shannon Jordan is a program analyst at the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Health Equity (OHE) which works to understand and eliminate health disparities among Veterans. She serves as the OHE engagement lead disseminating health equity resources to care providers, researchers, Veterans, and the public|also supporting workforce diversity and cultural competency at VHA. She serves as a member of the Federal Interagency Working Group of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), an effort of Federal agencies and HBCUs to build capacity and opportunities. Previously, Shannon worked at the National Library of Medicine managing environmental health information programs and outreach to special populations. She received her BS in chemistry and Master of Public Health degrees from Howard University.Professional Interests & Expertise
