Bio
Sharon Reakae is the National Director of Special Olympics Botswana and a disability inclusion and health equity leader working at the intersection of sport, public health, education and systems change. She leads national programs that expand access to health services, inclusive education, athlete leadership, and community participation for people with intellectual disabilities.
Her work has strengthened partnerships across government, academia, civil society and the private sector to improve health screening, referral pathways, workforce capacity, and inclusive policy and practice. Sharon has represented Botswana internationally through initiatives focused on health equity, disability rights, and inclusive sport, and serves on national and regional platforms advancing inclusion.
She is a Mandela Washington Fellow, Jim Leech Mastercard Foundation Fellow and Global Ambassador, MIT Solve alumnus, Women Lift Health leader and recipient of several leadership awards.
