Tshering Yangdon is a public health professional from Bhutan dedicated to advancing health equity. Her work focuses on uncovering systemic barriers from occupational health risks for hospital staff to gaps in rural healthcare access and turning research into actionable policy. She holds an MSc in Occupational and Environmental Health and is passionate about ensuring that healthcare in Bhutan is not just free, but truly fair and inclusive for all. Driving transformative change in Bhutan’s public health landscape, Tshering combines rigorous research with frontline advocacy to address systemic inequities. In her previous role, she led nationwide disease surveillance efforts, strengthening data systems and improving last-mile health services. Her research revealed preventable occupational hearing loss among hospital staff, prompting targeted interventions for vulnerable health workers.
