Bio

Briauna Taylor is a nurse practitioner and health systems leader dedicated to advancing equitable healthcare systems and strengthening community-based care. Her commitment to health equity was shaped by her lived experiences as an emergency department nurse, primary care provider at a federally qualified health center in East Oakland, and Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. Caring for patients across diverse communities affected by homelessness, substance use, limited access to care, and insurance disparities inspired her passion for prevention and addressing the social drivers of health.

Briauna is transitioning into a management role within the Stanford Health Care Emergency Department, leading emergency department operations and improving workflow efficiency, while serving as a clinical consultant for an Enhanced Care Management program to strengthen care transitions and improve outcomes for individuals with complex medical and social needs.
