Bio

Leah Lewis-Garber is the Health Equity Program Leader at LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, Maryland. She leads initiatives to reduce disparities, embed equity into practice, and transform data into actionable insights that improve outcomes.

With more than 12 years of nursing experience spanning emergency medicine, case management, outpatient clinics, and quality improvement, Leah started as a Spanish medical interpreter, witnessing how language and cultural barriers impact care. Each experience deepened her commitment to address inequities upstream. As a Nursing Outcomes Leader, she worked with multidisciplinary teams to standardize care and integrate equity into improvement efforts. She also developed a simulation-based allyship program, now embedded across multiple hospitals, that equips healthcare workers with practical skills to address bias.

Leah earned her BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University and her MSN from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
