Hyeladzira Garnva ’20 manages the program design and execution of the U.S. President's Malaria Initiative for States in Nigeria. Leading a project team comprising staff, consultants and subcontractors, she provides technical leadership, fosters stakeholder engagement and ensures the high-quality execution of the technical aspects of the project.

As the Secretary of Health in Quilmes, Argentina, Jonatan Konfino ’18 reduced the infant mortality rate by training healthcare teams to identify and follow up with pregnant women who had discontinued their visits to healthcare facilities. He also enhanced the care provided to pregnant women and babies by strengthening the network of local hospitals, thereby improving access to special care for those in need.

Megan Srinivas ’20 was elected to represent District 30 in the Iowa House of Representatives, making her the youngest woman of color ever elected to the Iowa Legislature. Her work with patients inspires her to make changes to improve their access to better healthcare care.

Lindsley Jeremiah Villarante ’20 and his team played a key role in writing the National Objectives for Health 2023-2028, the Philippine health sector strategic plan adopted by the Office of the President. The plan directs all national agencies and encourages local governments to align with the directions set in the national objectives for health.

Yvonne Yiu ’17 provides subject matter expertise to support clinical growth among Veteran Affairs hospitals in California, Arizona and New Mexico, managing the clinical growth of telehealth services across various hospital service lines.
